Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired

Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired
01 Overview

Access to information is the foundation of learning. We support Braille, accessible learning materials and assistive technology so that children who are blind or visually impaired can learn, participate and progress alongside their peers.

02 The Barrier

Where Braille materials, orientation support and accessible teaching resources are unavailable, children who are blind or visually impaired fall behind not because of ability, but because information is out of reach.

03 How We Respond
  • Expand access to Braille and accessible learning materials. Support schools with inclusive classroom practice and adapted resources. Promote assistive technologies that widen access to information. Empower families with guidance, information and referral support.
